Lesley Guth –– Writing Coach
Lesley Guth has worked for daily newspapers for more than 20 years, first as a reporter and later as an editor. Most recently, as an editor for the San Francisco Chronicle, she supervised a group of enterprise reporters and edited several award-winning multimedia stories. As a reporter, she wrote about social issues such as teen pregnancy and HIV/AIDS and covered business, real estate and the economy, among other topics. She won an award from the Associated Press for a column she wrote about Veterans Day. Dedicated to teaching journalism, Lesley has served as a coach and mentor to numerous reporters and other editors, and has taught journalism courses at San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco.
